I did remember the boss in Old Clockworks is well not that good, the next mansion's boss i struggled in the 3DS version i think i actually died a couples, but i will not spoil what they are, even though i like this game it has some issues. As for Old Clockworks itself, it's fine, those bombs that you flash have some use to open paths. Oh yeah the Vault shows all ghosts, Boos, Gems in each mansion. Sneakers i can't stand that i try to flash all 3 at once & suck to get rid and Greenies with weapons or headgear i also rid get of them first, then flash and suck them.

Irl Dark cavalry is Dark magician fused with any warrior monster. Maybe in this game he's a fusion using dark magician and Gaia the fierce knight OR evolves from Gaia while a dark magician is in your party. Failing that, try evolution stones.

When you both agrees to play the deck instead of the meta. The only time I had super fun was 2 times when I played dark world vs fire king and we both used up our decks and a tg zombie world had my plants quasar deck locked. Drew heavy and won. Even asking me to give up, HA yugi taught me to never give up. Oh and when I play a meta blue eyes and I play a 60 blue eyes deck and I somehow won by bringing out master dragon knight and he only had 4 cards in their deck.
